Ford Airport Day

Presented by local EAA Chapter 439, Ford Airport Day has been growing bigger and more successful year after year. The main public Ford Airport Day show features airplanes up close, classic cars, and family activities.

For 2026, the C-47 "Hairless Joe" is coming! The Michigan Flight Museum invites the public to experience history from the sky aboard the WWII transport airplane C-47 “Hairless Joe.”

Based in Belleville, MI, this beautifully restored aircraft offers Air Adventure airplane rides that turn an ordinary day into something unforgettable. This isn’t a static display or a simulator - you’ll actually fly in a real, World War II airplane that once carried paratroopers and supplies across the globe. 

A C-47 Air Adventure ride is a scenic airplane ride that lets passengers experience flight the way crews once did by moving through the cabin, taking photos, and enjoying views you can’t get anywhere else. 

Breathtaking views over Dickinson County await! Current ride times for Sat 9/19 are 10AM, 11AM, 12PM but are subject to change.
